1 - 5: Brightness setting selected in P1

Based on the brightness setting selected from the P1 menu, the display adapts to the external situation.
This adjustment does not happen across all the possible brightness levels offered by the equipment, but only within a defined spectrum relating to the initial value (option selected via P1).

Having the measurement units appearing on the display enables you to recognize at a glance which details you are dealing with.

You can also activate in the second line of the display, the angle measurement or SWAROAIM function, which shows the adjusted shooting distance for the angle shot.

Scan mode

The scan mode is used to continually measure the range of moving targets.

The instrument switches to scan mode automatically if the measurement button is held down for over 3 seconds.

One-off measurement

A one-off measurement is usually the norm and is particularly suitable for stationary targets.

When you shoot at an angle, the gravitational pull does not have such a strong impact on the shot’s flight path as in the case of shooting horizontally.

This means that the point of impact changes equally regardless of whether you are shooting uphill or downhill. The integrated tilt indicator with a unique angle shot program displays the adjusted shooting distance.

Diopter adjustment

To achieve optimal image quality, it is necessary to correct any varying visual acuity between the left and right eye. Go through the settings step by step to carry out the diopter adjustment.

  • Pull both diopter adjusting rings up and turn them counterclockwise as far as they can go
  • Press the mode button for 4 seconds
  • Turn the diopter adjusting rings clockwise to focus the display, first left then right
  • Push down both diopter adjusting rings

Test measurement

Before configuring the following settings, you should perform a test measurement.

You must perform the measurement in an open area or through the opened window. You must bear in mind that the minimum measurement distance has to be 30 m/33 yds.

Eye relief

The EL Range binoculars must be adjusted perfectly to the eye relief that suits you. To see a single round image, the separation between the two halves of the binoculars has to be adjusted until the irritating shadows disappear.

Twist-in eyecups

You can set the twist-in eyecups according to your personal preference (optimal distances between your eye and the lens).

Using the EL Range binoculars with or without eyeglasses:

Two intermediate positions are available for eyeglass wearers and non-eyeglass wearers.

Objective lens cover

The click mechanism allows you to simply attach and detach the objective lens cover.

Strap length

With a simple turn, the carrying strap can be secured to the ideal length.

Strap fitting

The rotating strap can be quickly and silently fitted to the binoculars, thanks to the bayonet catch. Simply press and turn.

Should the eyepiece cover enclosed be fitted?

To start using your EL Range binoculars, you need to configure the following basic settings.

Objective lens covers

Safe and protected

The new objective lens covers are manufactured from the best materials and blend esthetically into the overall design. This means no more lost covers. They also provide the binoculars with the best protection against external impacts.

Measurement button

Distinctive and accurate

With its particular shape, you can easily feel the new measurement button, even when wearing gloves. The specific pressure point helps to measure the range accurately.

Strap connector

Simple and flexible

The new rotating strap connector adapts perfectly to any movement and can be quickly and silently fitted to your binoculars, thanks to the bayonet catch. The innovative cord fits in seamlessly with the design and does not get twisted.

Quick catch button

Practical and adaptable

The new quick catch button is both elegant and functional. With a simple turn, the carrying strap can be secured to your ideal length. This means that you can adjust the strap within seconds to the length that feels most comfortable when you are out in the field.
